Let It Be Messy – Why Your Practice Doesn’t Have to Be Pretty
Some days, your practice feels fluid. Other days, it's a struggle to just show up. And that’s okay.
Movement—like life—is not meant to be perfect. It's meant to be honest.
I’ve had days where my breath feels stuck, my balance is off, and I spend half the class in Child’s Pose. But those are often the days I need the practice most. Not to achieve anything, but to feel held. To remember that showing up as you are is more than enough.
Why the messy days matter:
They teach you how to meet yourself with grace
They let your body guide instead of your ego
They remind you that the goal is connection, not performance
In class, I’ll often say: “There’s no gold star for pushing through pain.” The real gold is in choosing to listen, soften, and stay.
So let your practice be messy. Let it wobble. Let it look nothing like what you saw on Instagram. If it brings you closer to yourself, it’s working.
"Perfection isn't the goal. Presence is."It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
